The 2nd Informal Council of Ministers, chaired by the President of the Republic Mr Nikos Anastasiades, was held on Tuesday 14th November 2017 at the Presidential Palace. The purpose of the Informal Session is to encourage young people's activation and strengthen participatory democracy. This year's Informal Council of Ministers was attended by more than 500 young people, who had the opportunity to watch the session of the Council of Ministers, but also to ask questions.
The debate focused mainly on issues related to support for youth employment, youth and female entrepreneurship. Participants also showed particular interest in economics, investment and defense issues, and listened to the ministry's plans for reduction of household waste, the fight against corruption and the future foreign policy planning for the period 2018-2023.
A group of thirteen of our Government and Politics students represented the School. Our students conducted themselves in an excellent way during the meeting and were a credit to the School. The students were accompanied by Ms Eleni Papaspyrou and Mrs Athena Kranidiotou Gregoriou.
