The SEN assessment centre is designed to help all students who are experiencing difficulty in their learning processes.
The centre provides assessments for a wide range of educational difficulties in reading, writing and mathematics (also known as dyslexia and dyscalculia), for attention deficits with or without hyperactivity (ADD and ADHD), for Anxiety Disorders, for Autistic Disturbances and for other emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Initially, a series of screening tests is carried out to establish whether or not an educational special need exists. Depending on the results of the initial screening tests, a full diagnostic test can then be undertaken.
The screening tests can be provided in either English or Greek to students of any age from 6 years onwards.
The assessment is conducted by a registered school psychologist who evaluates each case separately, and in accordance with JCQ criteria, provides a full professional report that allows the student to obtain the necessary documents and accommodation arrangements for school and external exams.
